Regular care of the surfaces preserves their beauty and ensures long-lasting durability.
A technical inspection and maintenance of the fittings and door hinges should also be carried out regularly.

Your trade partner will be happy to perform these maintenance tasks!

DÖPFNER WOOD SURFACES

WOOD SURFACES TRANSLUCENT / OPAQUE

The basic principle is: »Maintain instead of painting«
This means that with regular care, you can extend the lifecycle and preserve the beauty of the surfaces over the long term.

Cleaning the surfaces

Clean the exterior and interior surfaces (including rebate areas) of the window with plenty of water and a mild cleaning agent such as neutral soap – we generally recommend avoiding the use of chemical cleaners.
To prevent irreparable damage, avoid using any abrasive cleaners, steel wool, scouring pads, blades, etc.

Applying a care milk

A special care milk, WINDOOR-CARE-SET, available in the ADLER webshop / see below, should be applied after cleaning the windows.
This care milk enhances the glaze layer, provides effective weather protection, and creates a beautiful appearance on the window surface.

Attention!
Any damage detected on wood surfaces MUST BE REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY!!

The longer this is delayed, the more difficult it will be to repair the damage later!

WOOD OIL FINISH | OILED WOOD SURFACES

Wood oil surfaces – depending on exposure, approximately once a year – should be re-treated with the appropriate ADLER PULLEX wood oil using a sponge.

For repurchasing care wood oil, please contact your trade partner or directly our paint and surface partner ADLER.

ALUMINUM SURFACES

• Aluminum surfaces can be easily wiped with a damp, soft cloth (adding a mild cleaning agent, e.g., dish soap, is possible).
• To prevent irreparable damage, avoid using any abrasive cleaners, steel wool, scouring pads, blades, etc.

BESCHLÄGE

ALL FITTING PARTS, LOCK COMPONENTS, DOOR HINGES, ETC.

• Oiling: Apply precisely at the closing points using a capillary tube (e.g., with FENOPLAST fitting spray | available at hardware stores or online).
• Do not attempt to adjust hinges or locking pins yourself if elements are stiff.
• There is a risk of over-tightening, which can compromise functionality (in extreme cases, the window sash could fall out of the frame).
• Please have all adjustments and more complex maintenance tasks performed exclusively by a qualified professional you trust.

• If needed, treat with a rubber seal care product (e.g., FENOFLEX rubber care available at hardware stores or online).
